Express Data Manager™ returns the ownership of data back to the user!

It is a challenge throughout the lifecycle of a product to avoid inconsistencies during the process of re-creation and duplication of product information exchanged between IT-systems. Express Data Manager™ provides solutions that address this challenge. These solutions, based on international standards, enable users to share, exchange and store product information throughout the entire lifecycle, independent of the IT-systems used.

Express Data Manager™ (EDM) is a suite of tools that provides:

• Secure multi-user access and version control
• Direct use of standardised data models without having to re-map to a relational database
  
• EXPRESS-X data manipulation language which allows the automated transformation of large (several 100 MBytes) data sets from one data structure to another
  
• Implementing and validating business rules using built-in rule interpreter
  
• Full support for STEP XML (ISO10303-28 ed. 2), Step P21, CSV and other tabular formats
  
• All EDM functionality including mappings, queries and rules can be accessed via C, C++, Java, .NET bindings to EDM

EDMserver™ is part of EDM consisting of a multi-user platform for deploying industrial-strength solutions based on open data standards such as ISO 10303, ISO 12006, ISO 15926, ISO 16739 and can be qualified to OAIS standard ISO 14721. The three high level functional areas that EDMserver™ addresses are neutral-format data exchange management, information quality management and long-term archiving of product model data. EDMserver™ is able to serve and manage product model data throughout the lifecycle of the product from design & simulation where concurrent engineering is essential to product life cycle support for accessing maintenance data during the service of the product.
