As a leading provider of solutions for product data technology, EPM Technology will be represented at the following events worldwide. If you would like to find out more about us and our STEP/EXPRESS-compliant products, you are welcome to meet us.
The Hague, The Netherlands, 8-9 December 1998
The globalization of industry has fueled the growth of economy and
increased the frequency of cross border commerce. This growth has
in turn resulted in the need for industry standardization as a
method to avoid duplication and misinterpretation. More-over, The
Process & Power Industry with its rapid advances in technology
and highly technical terminology is dependent on the efficient flow
of information both inter- and intra-organizationally. This
organ-izational interaction poses the question of industry
standards and thus the importance of STEP.
To address these important ongoing issues, the European Plant
Information Management Conference is currently preparing for its
third event, PIMC'98. The goal of this conference is to provide a
forum for the exchange of information and technology in the Process
& Power Industry. This goal is attained through presentations
provided by industry professionals as well as the Information
Market that houses the major providers of Plant Information
Management (PIM) tools and technologies.
One of the many participating sponsors exhibiting at PIMC'98 who
are focused on providing IT solutions in PIM is EPM Technology. As
a company that is committed to the sharing of ideas and
technologies as a means of learning and benefiting from one another
in the move toward industry standardization, EPM Technology is a
valued repeat sponsor, having already participated in PIMC'97. With
over 30 European sponsors, PIMC'98 promises to be the Process &
Power event of the year.
Product Data Technology (PDT) involves all the information about
a product across its life-cycle - from design concept to disposal.
More effective man-agement of this data brings reduced costs and
faster times to market.
PDT Days is already established in Europe as an annual event,
previously organised by PDTAG - a 3-year ESPRIT project ending in
1997. QMS - already involved in PDT Days '96, '97 and '98 - are
ensuring that this event will continue to be the leading forum for
raising awareness and sharing experiences in gaining business
benefits from PDT. The new title - PDT Europe - reflects the
increasing demand for other events to be held alongside PDT Days.
Thus, PDT Europe 1999 will be a 4 day event which includes PDT
Days, POSC/CAESAR Confer-ence, an ESCN project day, ESCN STEP
technical seminars, and SINTEF/EPM STEP business seminars. Revised
format for PDT Europe 1999 is as follows:
Day 1, 13 April:
POSC/CAESAR Conference.
Day 2, 14 April:
STEP seminars in two streams:
- Technical stream, sponsored by ESCN.
- Business stream, sponsored by SINTEF/EPM.
The ESCN project cluster meeting will take place during the
afternoon of this day.
Days 3 and 4, April 15 and 16: PDT Days, with a similar format
to previous years, including papers from ESCN projects.
As a sponsor of PDT Europe '99, EPM Technology will be
exhibiting their EXPRESS Data Manager product suite as well
as offering a number of seminars on the business issues involved in
product data management.
