ISO overview

The committee’s work is published through a series of multi-part standards in seven areas of industrial product data technology listed below. Standards denoted in bold are particularly relevant to this issue of EXPRESSway.

• ISO 10303 STEP – Standard for product data representation and exchange. (Comprises PLCS – Product Life Cycle Support, ISO 10303-239)
• ISO 13584 PLIB – Parts library
• ISO 15531 MANDATE – Industrial manufacturing management data.
• ISO 15926 Integration of life-cycle data for process plants, including oil and gas facilities, life-cycle data
• ISO 18629 PSL – Process specification language
• ISO 18876 IIDEAS – Integration of industrial data for exchange, access, and sharing
• ISO 22745 OTD – Open technical dictionary

In addition, SC4 harvests external specifications relevant to industrial data developed by other organizations and converts them into ISO deliverables (International Standards, ISO Technical Specifications or ISO Publicly Available Specifications).
