Jotne meets the challenges of the deep

Designing and manufacturing subsea equipment and tools is a fast growing business area for the Jotne Group.

"This work ranges from developing subsea structures, templates, and protection covers to installation tools for connectors, manifolds, and structures," explains Kjell Høglo of Jotne Prosjekt.

The Jotne Group has experienced and competent engineers to do design and analysis. Among their tasks are third party verifications, checking calculations and designs done by others. The customer list includes ABB Offshore Technology, DSND, Kværner Oilfield Products, and Coflexip Stena Offshore.
"New possibilities are created as existing shallow-water oil and gas fields get depleted. There are many challenges when drilling at depths more than 1,000 meters. This means a demand for new services and products which the Jotne Group is able to offer with our engineering and manufacturing resources," says Høglo.

"We're venturing into new areas; adjusting current technology for use at greater depths. With our engineering resources able to offer multi-discipline, general and specialist services and extensive manufacturing and testing facilities, we are in a perfect position to meet the subsea challenges of the future."
