MORSE Information TechnologyPublished 1998-10-27
In the Netherlands a new startup company has entered the STEP arena: MORSE Information Technology. The main focus of the company is information exchange according to the ISO10303 STEP protocols. MORSE Information Technology is actively participating in projects in the process and electronics industry, offering advice and implementing STEP-related data exchange and storage.
The software being implemented ranges from Part 21 import and export translators to STEP based database solutions. An important goal of each project is to try to find a solution such that existing software can be used in a first phase. Part 21 data exchange is the first requirement of most cust-omers. Later in the imple-mentation they require storage in a STEP compliant manner so as to achieve better integration of the Part 21 import and export. Integration with legacy systems is also a common requirement. EXPRESS Data Manager can scale up with each project. At first a "bare bones"-EDMdeveloperSeat is used in combination with custom designed software from MORSE Information Technology. If map-ping of EXPRESS schemas is needed an optional EXPRESS-X EDMmodelConverter module can be purchased from EPM. EDMvisualExpress is used for the design of new complex EXPRESS schemas. The SDAI of EDMdeveloperSeat together with custom designed software from MORSE Information Technology facilitates integration with legacy solutions and the provision of specialized user interfaces. In addition, EPM Technology's smart extension to the standard SDAI makes it possible to offer client-server based solutions within STEP database projects. For information, contact: |
