Oil & Gas

The solutions from Jotne EPM Technology constitute a fully open and neutral System Integration Platform on which data exchange and data sharing is possible in a life cycle perspective. Our tools for database mapping enable the linkage of databases across the platform. Our RDL technology ensures that the communication between various applications and services are based on coherent semantics. Our comprehensive WEB based architecture allows participants in a wide area network to take part in the collaborative processes. The solutions of Jotne EPM Technology is not only an integration platform, it is also a platform upon which you can found your SOA architecture.

The Integration Concept

The concept of integration is resting on three pillars:

  • -Data Exchange Specifications-. Controls the information flow between applications.
  • -Object Model Specification-. Represents the common neutral storing format.
  • -Reference Data Library-. Holds the common semantics of the application portfolio

Data Exchange Specifications:

The standards defining the formats and contractual terms by which the information shall flow from one system to another. These standards are called DEX or Template.

The Data Integration Model

This is the common integrating data model through which the exchange and sharing of information will take place. The models applicable for the Oil & Gas industry are ISO 15926, ISO 10303-239 (PLCS).

Reference Data Library

This is the library defining the common semantics and ontology constituting the common language by which the applications shall communicate.

Markets

Both business domains within the Oil & Gas market (Oil companies and EPC companies) are regarded as markets of EPM Technology. Although the two domains represents very different business strategies, they are tied together as partners within the drilling-, production- and maintaining processes. One represents the owner and the other represents the suppliers.

EPM Technology's contribution to the success in this arena is to provide open and standardised software solutions that enable:

  • sharing of information across discipline and geographical locations.
  • building of a master data repository for operation, control and maintenance through the entire lifecycle.
The Integration Platform
A big issue within most plant projects is to transmit knowledge, experience, models and documentation from one project to the next. This kind of information is normally originated in complex data systems and stored in native databases.
The products
All our products are supporting our loyalty to international standardisation. Our ability to support independent interfacing and long-term archiving, is resting on open standards.
The hart in our product portfolio is the EDMserver'. This is a generic object-oriented database platform to manage all your product- and production data in a life cycle perspective.
This generic database platform is also delivered in model versions to support any ISO standardised data model like IFC, STEP, PLCS. This platform is supported by a number of service applications.
