PLCS - The ISO/STEP Product Life Cycle Support Initiative (feature in EXPRESSWAY 2/98) is now close to formal launch, which requires 10 sponsors. Seven sponsors have signed up.
Five more - including US DoD, Boeing, BAe and Lockheed - have contributed to the work and will decide in the next few weeks. Additional participants, including vendors, are now being sought. The first Data Modelling Workshop was hosted at EPM Technology on June 2/3, where 12 contributors presented their requirements as input to the new data model which is to come.
