Turn-tables for Alcatel cables

Alcatel Kabel in Halden is using three turn-tables for cable deliveries produced by the Jotne Group. The turn-tables are designed by EPM Consultants and manufactured and installed by Jotne Fremo, while Jotne Prosjekt coordinates the contracts.
Turn-tables

The turn-tables are used in the production of electrical cables and umbilicals.

One such turn-table is operated horizontally, with a diameter of 38 meters. It can hold 1,000 tons of cable, but may be reinforced to take up to 1,600 tons. The cables are reeled on and off for testing and installation of termination heads.

The turn-tables have been delivered on time and they all work according to specification.
